Kaleb’s Story
At only two months of age, Kaleb Biehle started showing symptoms that something wasn’t right. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. His tumor was actually seen in utero but was misdiagnosed at that time. After diagnosis, Kaleb immediately started undergoing chemotherapy. He went through several rounds which shrunk the tumor by about 50%! At this point it was decided to watch the tumor to see if it would continue to die.
Unfortunately, it did not and in April 2024 Kaleb relapsed. He underwent several more rounds of chemo and then a planned tumor resection surgery. The surgery went horribly wrong and Kaleb lost an organ while the tumor remained. His family then took him to Cincinnati Children’s in August 2024 for another surgery and it was a great success.
Kaleb has just started his third round of accutane treatment and is awaiting his next set of scans. This will be his first set of scans since surgery. Kaleb is the youngest of three siblings and is always smiling, shining light to those around him. May his story remind you that you too can face whatever mountain lies ahead of you with strength and bravery!
