William’s Story

In January 2023, William was diagnosed with a baseball sized CNS Embryonal Tumor. He immediately underwent surgery to remove the tumor from his brain. Following surgery he had 6 weeks of proton radiation therapy and 8 months of chemotherapy. He has received outstanding and compassionate care from his teams at Riley Hospital for Children and Cincinnati Children’s. Through every setback and side effect (and there have been many), William shows unwavering faith and bravery. As for the future, it currently looks uncertain. William continues to fight each day with the constant support and love of his family and friends.

William has three older brothers that share a truly special bond. He finds great joy in building Lego sets with his brothers, playing with jets (especially Blue Angels) and learning all about space and rockets. While he goes by Will/William, you might know him by his pilot call sign “Ice Will” or even his superhero name “Will Fire”. His favorite movie is Top Gun Maverick, which was an inspiration in the design of his shirt!

Will has been dealt a difficult hand but he continues to walk into every challenge with true bravery. We hope his story can inspire people that no matter what life throws your way, we will remain BRAVE.
